The program

  • Every student is known, challenged, and supported

The program is built so scholars cannot vanish into the back row: rigorous, world-connected coursework with room to chase real interests, all of it pointed at university and what comes after.

  • Flexible pathways toward graduation

One comprehensive American curriculum, more than one route through it. Graduation pathways flex to the scholar, and the school keeps families in the loop rather than at arm's length.

  • Advanced Placement opportunities in Grades 9-12

AP coursework (rigorous, college-level, and recognized by universities worldwide) is offered across Grades 9-12. AP Seminar and AP Research anchor the route to the AP Capstone Diploma.

  • One-to-one learning environment

Every scholar carries the hardware and digital resources the coursework assumes. AISJ is a one-to-one school, so every scholar has the devices and digital resources their courses require.

High school students in lab coats and gloves take notes at a lab bench while their teacher stands behind them, beneath a large periodic table.

Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement at AISJ is a sequence, not a leap: Pre-AP preparation first, then rigorous college-level AP coursework across Grades 9-12, and, for scholars who go the distance, the AP Capstone Diploma, earned through AP Research, AP Seminar, and four additional AP courses. The AP International Diploma (APID) sits alongside AP Capstone as a second credential pathway: a way to deepen and extend the core AISJ curriculum, not replace it.
