Signature programs exist for one reason: to let scholars do rigorous, college-level work while still in high school. Six offerings carry the label, from cybersecurity and VEX robotics to AP Research, and each offers college-level depth.
The six offerings
AP Research, AP Seminar, AP Studio Art, AP Music Theory, Cybersecurity, and Robotics and AutoCAD.
Cybersecurity
Fundamentals of Cybersecurity. This comprehensive cybersecurity course is designed for scholars interested in the cybersecurity field and prepares them for an advanced cybersecurity course and/or cybersecurity certifications.
AP Research
Year-long research investigation. AP Research allows scholars to explore an academic topic, problem, or issue of individual interest, then design, plan, and conduct a year-long research-based investigation.
AP Seminar
Cross-curricular inquiry and divergent perspectives. AP Seminar engages scholars in conversations about academic and real-world topics, using inquiry to analyze divergent perspectives across articles, research studies, texts, speeches, broadcasts, personal accounts, and artistic works.
Robotics and AutoCAD
VEX Robotics and 2D AutoCAD. Robotics and AutoCAD is a STEM-based class where scholars build and program robots with VEX motors and sensors while learning most 2D AutoCAD commands and basic drafting software use.
AP Studio Art
AP Studio Art 2-D Design Portfolio. AP Studio Art 2-D Design Portfolio is part of the signature lineup: AP-level studio work, assessed the way the name says: by portfolio.
AP Music Theory
AP Music Theory. AP Music Theory develops score reading, music notation, harmony, composition, sight-singing, and aural analysis so musicians can explain how music works, not only perform it.
