High School
Welcome to the AISJ High School—where young people are known, challenged, and inspired every day. Our program is built on the belief that scholars thrive when learning is engaging, rigorous, and connected to the world around them. With a comprehensive American curriculum, a wide range of Advanced Placement opportunities, and flexible pathways toward graduation, AISJ offers scholars the chance to explore their interests deeply while developing the skills and habits that prepare them for university and life beyond.
What truly distinguishes our high school is the balance we strike between strong academics and a vibrant student life. Scholars learn in collaborative, inquiry-driven classrooms; they grow through athletics, activities, the arts, and leadership; and they gain real-world experience through programs such as Week Without Walls, service learning, and innovation and entrepreneurship. Most importantly, they do all of this within a supportive, diverse community that values well-being, curiosity, and personal growth. We are delighted to welcome you to AISJ and look forward to partnering with you on this exciting journey.

The American International School of Jeddah high school is “a community of passionate learners, developing a culture of discovery and excellence to impact our world for the better.” This is who we are and what we do.
Within the classroom, scholars are presented with opportunities to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways from project-based learning to traditional paper and pencil exams. We also recognize the importance of technology and the reality that computers, handheld devices, and the internet are all valuable resources and should be embraced as we move ever more quickly from today into the future. We are a one-to-one school, and every scholar has the necessary hardware and electronic resources at their fingertips all the time, enabling them to integrate the use of technology into their learning experience seamlessly.
We believe in a strong school-home relationship built on a foundation of partnership and effective two-way communication with parents. Our doors, phone lines, and inboxes are always open, and we welcome the next opportunity to connect and strengthen this bond.
- Through Pre-AP, AISJ offers every scholar access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success in high school and beyond.
- The challenging coursework of Pre-AP emphasizes key literacy, quantitative, and analysis skills across all five disciplines (English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Arts) and reinforces these skills in classroom experiences. Scholars finish Pre-AP courses prepared for further study in AP courses.
- All scholars are supported across varying levels of ability through the Pre-AP framework, resources, activities, and materials therein
- Through AP coursework, AISJ scholars are prepared for college success by taking challenging college-level courses while still in high school.
- AP coursework is rigorous and highly regarded by colleges and universities around the world.
- AP courses are offered in Grades 9-12.
- AP scholars have the opportunity to complete the full AP program, which includes AP Research, AP Seminar and 4 other APs for the AP Capstone Diploma. This demonstrates to universities commitment to rigor and imminent success at the university level.
- Scholars can receive college credit for their AP coursework through completion of the course and successful exam performance. Universities often grant credit for scores of 3 and above on the exam (Highest Score for each exam=5). Each university has unique requirements
- Scholars who engage in AP coursework have higher acceptance rates, higher college-level success, and higher retention and university completion rates
