Welcome to AISJ Middle School
It is my great privilege to welcome you to the American International School of Jeddah Middle School community!
Middle school is such an important and exciting time in a young person’s life—a time of tremendous growth, discovery, challenge, and change. At AISJ, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every scholar feels known, valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
I strongly believe that relationships are at the heart of everything we do. When scholars feel that they belong and know that the adults around them genuinely care about their success, they are more willing to take risks, learn from mistakes, challenge themselves, and grow. Our goal is to provide a Middle School experience that balances academic excellence with the social and emotional development our scholars need during these important years.
We also believe in maintaining high expectations while providing our scholars with the support they need to meet them. Through engaging learning experiences, collaboration, innovation, leadership opportunities, extracurricular activities, and meaningful connections with their teachers and peers, we want our scholars to discover their strengths, develop their voices, and become increasingly independent and responsible learners.
Just as importantly, we recognize that educating our scholars is a partnership. Families are an essential part of our Middle School community, and open communication, collaboration, and trust between home and school are incredibly important to me. Together, we can create the consistency and support that allow our scholars to flourish.
AISJ is enriched by the diversity of our community. We celebrate the different cultures, experiences, perspectives, and talents our scholars and families bring to our school, while building a shared sense of belonging and purpose. We want our scholars not only to be prepared for the world ahead of them, but also to have the confidence, character, curiosity, and courage to positively contribute to it.
As Middle School Principal, I am committed to being present, accessible, and actively engaged in the life of our school. I look forward to getting to know our scholars and families, celebrating our successes together, learning through our challenges, and continuing to build a Middle School community in which every scholar can thrive.

Middle school is an essential time in our children’s lives as they begin to transition into becoming young adults. In middle school, we carefully blend caring relationships with responsibility and reflection, ensuring that each day your children are at AISJ, they will not only be learning their academic skills, but also the interpersonal skills of teamwork, personal responsibility, academic integrity, community awareness, and social justice.
We encourage all our scholars to reflect not only on what they are learning but also why they are learning it. Our greatest joy is observing our children use their learning to try to understand the world around them. Watching our children solve problems is as rewarding as watching them take their first steps. We seek to prepare all our children to be successful on their own merits and abilities.
When our scholars move on to high school and beyond, we believe that they will be fully prepared to transition into this next level successfully. Our hope is that they will reflect back upon these years with a sense of accomplishment, joy, and pride.
