Middle school is an essential time in our children’s lives as they begin to transition into becoming young adults. In middle school, we carefully blend caring relationships with responsibility and reflection, ensuring that each day your children are at AISJ, they will not only be learning their academic skills, but also the interpersonal skills of teamwork, personal responsibility, academic integrity, community awareness, and social justice.
We encourage all our scholars to reflect not only on what they are learning but also why they are learning it. Our greatest joy is observing our children use their learning to try to understand the world around them. Watching our children solve problems is as rewarding as watching them take their first steps. We seek to prepare all our children to be successful on their own merits and abilities.
When our scholars move on to high school and beyond, we believe that they will be fully prepared to transition into this next level successfully. Our hope is that they will reflect back upon these years with a sense of accomplishment, joy, and pride.
